## Summary

Hosts Daniel and Forbode discuss how brick-and-mortar retail is using connected technology to compete with e-commerce, citing an article by Lorenzo Amacuchi of Nordic Semiconductor. They explore specific applications such as Walmart's deployment of 600,000 smart shelves for dynamic pricing, RFID tags at Uniqlo for seamless checkout, and sensors for supply chain monitoring to reduce food spoilage and electronics returns. The hosts argue that these technologies enable a hybrid shopping experience that improves customer satisfaction and reduces waste, challenging the narrative that physical retail is dying.
