## Summary

Anthony Rodriguez, Co-Owner and Vice President at Kativ Technologies, explains how mid-sized manufacturers lose value by keeping engineering data siloed within the engineering department. He argues that unlocking this data allows companies to create digital configurators for customer engagement, automate proposal generation, and optimize factory layouts before physical construction. Using Newcore Steel’s Hannibal division as a case study, Rodriguez demonstrates how digitizing product rules reduced proposal times from weeks to days and freed engineers to focus on innovation rather than repetitive configuration tasks.
