## Summary

Dr. Greg Charvat, co-founder of Butterfly Network and advisor to MIT Media Lab, discusses his new book 'Small and Short Range Radar Systems' and his role as editor for a CRC Press book series on practical electrical engineering. He details the technical challenges of building low-power IoT sensors for the startup Fiber, which detects parked cars using custom radio protocols. The conversation also covers the history of radar technology, the legacy NAVSPARSS space surveillance system, and the leaked NSA 'Angry Neighbor' surveillance hardware catalog.
