## Summary

Mitch Altman joins Dave Jones and Chris Gammell to discuss the release of a new soldering comic book he created with Jeff Keyzer and Andy Nordgren, which serves as a promotional tool for their upcoming microcontroller book. The conversation shifts to the challenges of international shipping for electronics components, with Dave Jones ranting about distributor policies and Jeff Kaiser highlighting a community list for global suppliers. They also explore DIY electric vehicle conversions, specifically Bob Simpson's BMW project using A123 lithium-ion batteries and a range extender, before touching on the US Navy's new laser weapons and Dave's lab lighting choices.
