## Summary

Contributing editor Raleigh Johnson answers listener questions on woodworking machinery and techniques. He advises against building homemade bandsaws, recommending used cast-iron models instead, and explains that high-velocity dust collection systems with cyclones outperform high-CFM single-stage collectors. Johnson also details why high-carbon steel is preferred for hand tools over high-speed steel, how feed rate affects cut quality on power tools, and the structural risks of using greenhouses for lumber drying.
