## Summary

Jane Pauline Ramos Ramirez, a PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology’s Biomimetic Intelligence Lab, discusses her work on bio-inspired drones capable of both flying and walking. She explains the mechanical and control challenges of designing compliant limbs for versatile ground locomotion while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency in flight. Ramirez also explores the philosophical and practical aspects of bio-inspiration versus biomimicry, emphasizing the need for robots to integrate social values and sustainability into their design for environmental monitoring and climate transition applications.
