## Summary

Mel Bishop III, Global Market Manager and VP of Sales for North America at Actega, explains how their wash-off UV primer technology supports plastic recycling by allowing labels to detach cleanly without contaminating the wash solution. He details the chemical engineering behind keeping inks and primers together during the wash process to preserve the value of clear PET, while also highlighting Actega's low migration inks for food safety. The discussion covers the strategic importance of these non-sexy but critical innovations in maintaining a circular economy for packaging materials.
