## Summary

Marcu Alexander, Packaging Sustainability Manager at Danone North America, and Prashant Japtap, President of Trayak/Compass, discuss using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to drive sustainable packaging changes. Alexander details a case study with Happy Family Organics where right-sizing pouches for freeze-dried yogurt bites reduced material use by 8% and saved the equivalent of 30 elephants' weight. Japtap explains how the Compass software translates technical LCA data into relatable metrics like swimming pools and cars to help brands make strategic decisions that balance environmental impact with cost.
