## Summary

Kate Conger and Ryan Mac, authors of the book Character Limit, discuss Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter and his subsequent management chaos with hosts Bryan Cantrill and Adam Leventhal. The conversation details how Musk's lack of due diligence, paranoia, and managerial incompetence led to the destruction of Twitter's culture and infrastructure, including the firing of thousands of employees and the bot problem. The authors explain how these events serve as a playbook for Musk's current involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and his recent financial maneuvers involving X and xAI.
