## Summary

Igor Marinelli, founder of TRACTIAN, discusses his journey from a UC Berkeley computer engineering graduate working in a paper mill maintenance team to building an industrial condition monitoring platform. He explains how TRACTIAN focuses on frontline maintenance workers, using specific vibration and electrical data rather than general machine learning models, to provide actionable diagnoses for rotating and non-rotating assets. Marinelli shares insights on navigating Y Combinator as a hardware company, the pitfalls of Industry 4.0 buzzwords like 5G and data lakes, and the importance of empowering frontline teams with autonomy and budget to solve real problems.
