## Summary

Joachim Hensch, Managing Director of Hugo Boss’s Izmir facility and founder of Joachim Hensch Consulting, explains that digital transformation must begin with a strategic plan rather than technology. He details how Hugo Boss used a digital twin to manage complexity and lead time for 4,000 employees, resulting in lower costs per minute and higher employee empowerment. Hensch argues that Industry 4.0 is about solving business complexities, not just implementing tech, and shares his pivot to entrepreneurship after 24 years at the German luxury fashion house.
