## Summary

Jonas Schmid, co-founder and co-CEO of akenza, discusses the evolution of the smart building market, highlighting the risks of platform consolidation and hardware vendor bankruptcy. He explains how akenza’s low-code, cloud-native IoT platform helps enterprises migrate from discontinued systems and scale from pilot to production. The conversation covers the strategic value of partnerships, the role of AI assistants in replacing static dashboards, and the organizational pressures required to move IoT projects out of the R&D phase.
