## Summary

Alex Kotler, SVP of Sales and Partnerships at POND IoT, explains how combining satellite and cellular connectivity provides redundancy for IoT devices in remote or mobile environments like shipping and agriculture. He discusses the use of multi-IMSI SIM cards to manage global coverage and the strategic integration of Starlink with Peplink routers for high-bandwidth failover. Kotler highlights the industry challenge of educating customers who often choose cheaper, uncertified hardware, warning that 'cheap is very expensive' when reliability is required.
