## Summary

Dennis Kolberg, Chief Product Officer at Digimondo, discusses the evolution of IoT from a research topic to a mature industry focused on scalable use cases like energy grid monitoring and asset tracking. He explains how Digimondo’s niotix platform bridges the gap between OT and legacy IT systems through a technology-agnostic approach and digital twins. Kolberg highlights the challenges of integrating IoT with 10-15 year old ERP systems and the necessity of acquiring deep domain knowledge to succeed in sectors like utilities.
