## Summary

Lukasz Krzak, COO and co-founder of Embetech, explains the evolution of wireless mesh networks and how to determine if they are the right fit for an IoT solution compared to LPWAN technologies like LoRa. He details the shift from opportunistic medium access to time-slotted channel hopping to improve scalability and reduce collisions in large node deployments. Krzak outlines key qualities for robust mesh implementations, including graceful degradation, IPv6 compatibility, standard-based security, and the ability to simulate performance before hardware development.
