## Summary

Dr. Ben Calhoun and Dr. David Wentzloff, co-founders and co-CTOs of Everactive, explain their batteryless IoT technology which powers devices using energy harvesting rather than batteries. They discuss how their ultra-low-power System-on-Chip (SoC) and Evernet wireless network enable continuous monitoring of industrial assets like motors and steam traps without maintenance. The founders outline the scaling challenges of battery replacement in harsh environments and advise companies to consider batteryless solutions when they need to deploy thousands of sensors or require more frequent data streams than batteries can support.
