## Summary

Matt Tyler, VP of Strategic Innovation at Wachter, Inc., explains how the 92-year-old solutions integrator bridges the gap between OT and IT by integrating hardware and software for Fortune 1000 clients. He details specific use cases, including a partnership with Proto to deploy holographic technology in retail using Intel RealSense for demographic analytics, and the application of AI in quick-serve restaurants to address labor shortages. Tyler emphasizes that successful IoT deployment requires early cross-departmental involvement to avoid security and budget pitfalls, and highlights the industry shift toward consolidating disparate systems into AI-driven dashboards.
