## Summary

Alper Yegin, Vice-Chair of the LoRa Alliance Board and Chair of its Technical Committee at Actility, explains how LoRaWAN accelerates IoT by offering low power, long range connectivity in unlicensed bands. He details the technology's ability to enable 10+ year battery life for sensors and its deployment across public, private, and community networks, including satellite integration. Yegin addresses the market's fragmentation as a primary challenge, noting that while LoRaWAN solves connectivity, application-specific integration remains difficult, leading to standardization efforts like IPv6 support.
