## Summary

Georges Karam, CEO and co-founder of Sequans Communications, discusses the strategic importance of cellular connectivity for IoT devices, contrasting it with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. He explains how Sequans optimizes its Monarch and Calliope chipsets for low power and cost in massive IoT, and high speed in broadband IoT, while highlighting the industry shift toward iSIM technology for global flexibility. Karam also addresses the challenges of ecosystem maturity, carrier agreements, and the long-term deployment cycles that define the IoT market.
