## Summary

Matt Hatton, founding partner of Transforma Insights, discusses the IoT landscape of 2020 and forecasts for 2021, highlighting the growing influence of hyperscalers like AWS and Microsoft. He describes the connectivity market as a complex 'patchwork' due to the shutdown of 2G/3G networks and the uneven rollout of 5G and LPWAN technologies. Hatton identifies the primary challenge for enterprises not as technology, but as the lack of a commercial roadmap and internal organizational alignment, urging that IoT be driven by business leaders rather than IT departments.
