## Summary

Marco Rodrigues, VP of Products and Solutions at Volterra, discusses the shift toward distributed cloud computing and distributed application management for edge environments. He explains how Volterra’s platform, including Volt Mesh and Volt Stack, consolidates infrastructure services to simplify deployment for developers and reduce operational complexity compared to multi-vendor stacks. Rodrigues highlights use cases in manufacturing and retail, noting that COVID-19 has accelerated automation trends and the need for local data processing to lower latency and costs.
