## Summary

David Nussbaum, founder of Proto, explains how his background in radio and holographic entertainment led to the creation of a 'holoportation' device that projects life-sized, interactive 3D images of people. He details the evolution from expensive, static Pepper's Ghost concerts to Proto's dynamic, two-way communication boxes, which are currently used by hospitals, universities, and celebrities like William Shatner and Howie Mandel. Nussbaum discusses the technical challenges of creating realistic projections, the pricing strategy for enterprise versus consumer models, and the integration of AI avatars while maintaining strict privacy and consent controls.
