## Summary

Robin McBride and Andréa McBride John, founders of McBride Sisters Wine, recount their journey from discovering they were half-sisters to launching one of the largest Black-owned wine companies. Robin, a former corporate employee in California, and Andréa, a javelin thrower from New Zealand, bonded over a shared passion for wine despite having no money, vineyards, or industry connections. They identified a gap in the market for accessible, high-quality wines that appealed to diverse consumers, including young people and people of color, and decided to enter the closed-off wine industry with confidence rather than experience.
