## Summary

Editor-in-Chief Elliot Williams and Kristina Panos review a week of hardware hacks, highlighting Charlie Piatt's DIY VR headset that adds AR capabilities through a stereo camera and custom 3D-printed face mask. They also discuss Justin Alvey's gutted Google Nest Mini running an ESP32 and GPT-3.5, and Daniel's root exploit for Amazon Echo Dot 2nd generation devices. The episode concludes with a critique of ChatGPT as a 'summer intern' for OpenSCAD design and a debate on the definition of Linux distributions like ChromeOS and Android.
