## Summary

Hackaday editors Mike Szczys and Elliot Williams discuss a hardware hack that enables trading Pokémon between Generation 2 and Generation 3 consoles using a microcontroller to translate protocols. They analyze the complex error-correction encoding used in Spotify's playlist barcodes, noting its use of convolutional coding and Gray codes. The episode also covers a late-stage prototype of the original iPod, the engineering trade-offs between supercapacitors and batteries, and a method for adding sensors to LED strips without extra wiring.
