## Summary

Joel Scutchfield, General Manager of Koh Young Americas, discusses the company's 20th anniversary and the shipment of its 20,000th machine while outlining 2023 trends for the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. He highlights cautious optimism driven by infrastructure spending in EVs, solar, and 5G, but warns that talent shortages are slowing reshoring efforts and necessitating greater automation. Scutchfield also details Koh Young's strategic shift toward software-centric solutions, including a new GUI, the KPO process optimizer, and expanded pre-reflow AOI capabilities to address labor constraints.
