## Summary

Alex Glow, Resident Hardware Nerd at Hackster.io, discusses her journey from a linguistics major to a hardware professional through self-directed learning and community engagement. She details specific projects including Archimedes, an AI-powered robot owl using Google's AIY Vision Kit and Snips for privacy, and Ty, a typing robot built with a MeArm and NVIDIA Jetson TX2. The conversation covers her work on a portable IPFS terminal, the culture of conference badges, and her recent exploration of Ableton for music production.
