## Summary

Author Leander Kahney discusses his book 'Jony Ive: The Genius Behind Apple’s Greatest Products' with host Don Lehman, detailing Ive’s journey from a design agency partner at Tangerine to leading Apple’s Industrial Design Group. Kahney explains how Steve Jobs’ return in 1997 transformed Apple’s culture, empowering Ive to implement a design-driven strategy that saved the company from bankruptcy. The conversation covers the secretive nature of Apple’s design studio, the collaborative yet hierarchical relationship between Ive and Jobs, and Ive’s subsequent expansion into software and hardware oversight after Jobs’ death.
