## Summary

Aaron Moncur, founder of Pipeline Design & Engineering and host of the Being an Engineer podcast, explains his motivation for launching the Product Development Expo (PDX) in Portland. He highlights the lack of a single venue for physical product engineers to access continuing education, test technologies, and network, while also mentioning his other initiatives like The Wave community and CAD Club. Moncur acknowledges the significant effort required to organize the event despite having zero prior large-scale event experience, framing it as an investment in the engineering community's skills and career growth.
